One morning after my devotions I looked over at this project that was in the May issue of the Pixelated Pallette and as I looked at the mermaid the words Wave after Wave came to mind.
Right now it seem like we are being knocked around by the waves of life crashing over us. As soon as one wave hits us another comes. As those waves are coming at us are they lifting us and carrying us or are we letting them push us under?
When you are at the ocean and walk into the water up to your ankles it is very easy to stand. But as you go to your knees, then your waist, and then your shoulders it gets harder to stand on your own. I compare that to my relationship with God. I think of the water as God. In the beginning of my walk with him I only went into my ankles because I still wanted to be in charge of my life. As I grew in my faith and relationship with him I would keep wading deeper and deeper until I reached a point where I could no longer walk and I had to let the water (him) carry me. I wish I would have learned that sooner because life is so much easier when we trust God and let him carry us. I hope during these hard days you are trusting God and letting him carry you.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6.
Lets pray for our land, and for healing.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2Chronicles 7:14.
Blessings,
Jane
PS. I think that is why I like mermaids, they have to let the water carry them.
This is a painting I did after my sculpted mermaid.

Oh, if all of these protesters would turn to God…go home and clean their homes, neighborhoods, and communities, then change would happen! I am so thankful that God carries me, moment by moment and that I am kept in His love. Thank you for for sharing.❤
How much the world needs God, I am praying they will see it. Blessing to you Charlotte
