To make the nose and mustache for Chris, the shorter Santa, mix 1/8” of QW and pull off a ½” ball for the nose and two other balls that are just about ¼” – 3/8” for the mustache.   For the nose roll the clay into a 1” cone and lay on center of face.  Flatten bottom leaving about ¼ below the nose for the mustache.  Shape nose using fingers so that it is a triangular shape.  Using pointy tool put nostril on bottom side of nose.  For the mustache divide the remaining clay equally and roll each into a ¾” cone.  Place fat end of each cone centered under nose.  Press and gently flatten in center with points sticking out.

To make the nose and mustache for Nick, the taller Santa, Mix 1/8” of QW and divide into 3 balls 3/8” each.  For the nose roll one ball into a 1” cone and lay on center of the face.  Shape pressing to make a triangular shape and press up on bottom to flatten.  Insert pointy tool in bottom of nose to create nostrils.  For the mustache roll each piece of clay into a 1 ¼” + skinny cone.  Lay fat end of cone under nose, push up and then bring back down and then curl end up.  Repeat on other side.  Allow to cure.

To finish Chris mix 1/4” of QW and pull off a ½” ball and roll into a ball and place on top of head.  For the band pull off a ¾” ball and roll into a 3 ½” coil.  Lay on bottom edge of hat, gently flatten and wrap around edges of head.

To finish Nick’s hat mix ¼” of QW and pull off ½” ball for top of hat.  Roll and place on top center of hat.  Roll remaining clay into a 3 ¼” coil and lay across top of hat and come down at the sides.  Gently press into place.  Allow to cure. For the eyebrows on both of the Santa’s mix a sliver of QW and pull off a ball a little smaller than a ¼” for each eyebrow.  Roll each ball into a ½” cone and place on an upward angle  towards the center on the hat band.  Allow to cure.
