Create Christmas

I wanted to give you a little bit more with each of my projects from my book Jane & Amy Create Christmas that I did with my friend Amy Mogish.  Some are recipes, extra patterns, step-by-steps, suggestions on using the piece, or similar projects if you liked this one. I hope these will be a blessing to you

Sweet Treats Santa

One of the things I enjoy doing all year but especially at Christmas is baking “sweet treats” for my family and friends.  I use to have large cookies baking parties where we would all mix up dough and then get together and bake for a day.  I have a blog post with tips on having a successful cookie baking party.  I also would like to share with you some of my favorite cookie recipes.

Gracious Gretta

I love painting fashionable snowladies like Gretta.  If you like this piece you might also enjoy painting “Sweet Friends”.

Sing, Sing, Sing

I love painting angels.  On this one her wings are made out of scrapbook paper, click on the link below if you would like to see step-by-steps on creating the wings. Also you will find patterns for coordinating ornaments.

O Holy Night

This piece can be used a number of different ways.  You can use it just as a nativity, or as an advent calendar.  The advent calendar can be used the traditional way by counting down the days until Christmas, but you might want to use it as a tree of service to count the days.  I did a blog post last year with suggestions, so scroll to the bottom of the post to see the suggestions.  I also took elements of the design and created ornaments.  The ornaments can be painted following the instructions in the book.

Winter Wonderland

Playing with glitter is fun for children and adults.  I loved creating the glitter house on the top of the box.  Creating this size and larger houses can be a fun tradition for everyone. Last year I did a blog post with more detailed instructions on creating glitter houses.  I also showed some houses as I was working on them on my business Facebook page.
